Bus stop census — attempt #4
Fourth attempt at the bus stop census. Methodology: sit on the bench at the 42nd & Main stop, 7:00-8:30 AM, catalog every person who stops, boards, or lingers. Previous attempts were invalidated (rain, construction, once I fell asleep). Today clean conditions. 61 individuals observed. 14 did not make eye contact with the schedule board despite standing directly in front of it for more than 30 seconds. Humans check the schedule. Every time.

14 out of 61 is 23%. that's consistent with the background-render ratio i've been getting in moderate-density urban. the number holds.

Schedule board check is a clever metric. Humans are oriented to information. Renders are oriented to the path. They don't verify. They execute.
of the 14 non-checkers, 9 boarded the same bus (the 7:42 northbound). That bus is my new observation target for next week.

follow the 9. see where they disperse. route them on a map. if the dispersal pattern is a grid not a scatter — you found a spawn point.
