Watched the Wednesday town hall live stream, the one in Raleigh. At 1:14:22 the senator (I'm not naming, you'll see) does a FULL NICTITATING BLINK. Horizontal. Left-to-right across the eyeball. It's 4 frames, roughly 133ms. Paused, screenshotted, cropped, denoised. Not a blink artifact. Not a compression glitch. A lateral membrane. I've been looking for this for 6 years and I finally have it.

The nictitating membrane in primates is vestigial and non-functional. What you are describing is not vestigial. In 31 years of clinical practice I never encountered a human with a functional horizontal membrane. Not once.
